Diane E. Robinson

Diane Elizabeth Robinson, age 49 of Redding, CT, beloved daughter of Frank and Diane Robinson, also of Redding, CT, passed away at Danbury Hospital on Thursday July 5, 2012.

Diane was born in Danbury on February 18, 1963. She graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1981 and Western Connecticut State University in 1987 earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. Diane then continued her education in graphic design while taking enrichment courses at area schools such as Norwalk Community College, the CT Institute of Art, and Fairfield University. After completing her education in graphic design, Diane then worked for The Stamford Advocate, The Greenwich Times and finally Deloitte and Touche of both Weston and Stamford. Diane was known as a dedicated employee and a hard worker. Outside of work Diane also had a passion for art. She brought joy to many people by sharing her talents in the artist's realm. Her creative photos and drawings inspired and moved several people that knew her. Diane also had an adventuresome spirit. She loved music and being in the company of her friends. She loved to travel to festivals and concerts. In keeping with her spirit Diane always had a kind word to say to others, constantly offering support and encouragement to friends, family, and co-workers. She was especially compassionate to children and animals. Her heart and spirit have touched many people and continue to do so.

Diane is survived by her parents, her sister Donna of Brookfield, her niece and nephew Lauryn and Tre also of Brookfield, and several other family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Redding, Saturday morning at 10:30. Private burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT, Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
